Vintage Rugs At Fabulous Prices

vintagerugs

Vintage rugs -- especially ones that are (or look) worn and slightly tattered -- are all the rage these days. After years of being considered too granny to be cool by many in the design world, they're finally getting some time in the spotlight. With good reason: they're gorgeous pieces of one-of-a-kind art,  they're durable (they're honestly one of the most kid-friendly pieces you can buy), are incredibly good at hiding dirt & stains (see above) , will add character to any space they're used in and can actually increase in price over time. All of these factors combined means that they're also often very expensive. But if you're willing to put in some time and effort, there are gorgeous rugs out there at very affordable prices; you just have to know where to look. Here's a round-up of my current favorites from across the web. If you like them though, move fast; once they're gone, they're gone forever:

1.)  It's taking every fiber of my being not to buy this rug; it's perfectly muted and worn in every way. I can see this being stunning in front of the sink in either a kitchen or bathroom and the price is crazy good.
2.) One of my favorite/best rugs is from this seller. Such lovely stuff (and worth the shipping price!)

3.) A 9x12 vintage Deco rug for $500? I-N-S-A-N-E. (This auction just ended without a buyer; I'd contact the seller and see if he'll relist so you can purchase)
4.) Blush is back in a big way and this rug is a fabulous way to add a touch to a room (can't you just see this in a classically-neutral master bath?)

5.) I'm in love with the salmon field color in this one. So fabulous for a long and narrow space. The name is also pretty cool...

6.) More beautiful blush for just a smidge under $100 (free shipping too!)...

7.)  Got a small guest room or office? That you want to keep pretty neutral? This should help (and so should the $160 price tag)...

8.) I have a feeling that I'm going to regret not bidding on this palace-sized beauty for our basement renovation. Love those bold colors...

9.) This one screams nursery to me. I'd layer it over a sisal and call it perfect. Because at $107 including shipping, it really is...
