Thrifted Thursday // Oil-Rubbed Bronze Sconces

Swing arm lamps -- particularly in black, oil-rubbed bronze or brass finishes -- are showing up *everywhere* these days. A quick online search will show the classic silhouette rocking out in kitchens...

The sky's really the limit when it comes to this classic style. Like everything else that's "on trend", these lamps can cost an arm (pun intended!) and a leg. So this almost-new pair listed $150 (that's 60% off the retail price) is a total steal.

If you're not in Boston but love the look, I think these  (only available in white)  are a pretty great deal at $20 each. I'm actually considering mounting them on the wall in our new place so my little guy can read in the bunk beds I've promised him.

This one is one of the most affordable options with the cone-shaped shade (bonus: the owner if this shop is wonderful) but if you're willing to go with a rounded version, these pharmacy-style swing arm lamps are never going to go out of style (and you'd still get two for $150)
