Thrifted Thursday // Pair of 1970s MatteoGrassi Italian Leather-Wrapped Chairs

// via Architectural Digest //

I'm always on the look-out for really unique chairs because they immediately add life to any space and when I find them I snap them up (as evidenced by my basement ... which is starting to look like something out of an episode of Hoarders).  Annnyway, this pair of 1970s leather-wrapped game chairs by the famed MatteoGrassi are the just the type that I love. Great lines, fabulous color and wonderful details (exposed stitching anyone?)

If you're not sure if they're a bargain at $295 for the pair (or $148/chair), take a gander at this set of four of the exact same chair on 1stDibs for $9600.00. Uh, folks? That's $2400.00 per chair.

So if you're in the market for something classically modern to flank an entry table, a dining room sideboard or to serve as guest seating in your office, here they are. At a bargain-basement price. And for those of you not in Boston who love the look of these leather-wrapped beauties, what about these?
